கண்ணோட்டம்

Looking for a compact EV for Colombo commuting, with local warranty support and a practical cabin? The Dongfeng Box targets that buyer. Euro Motors introduced it in Sri Lanka during 2025. Local material documents E2 Comfort and E3 Premium grades, while the current product page shows a 43.89 kWh configuration. A separate YOM 2026 specification sheet is not published.

நன்மைகள்

4,020 mm overall length: Published tests describe the Box as easy to place and park in urban environments.

326-litre boot: Folding the rear seats increases published luggage space to 945 litres, improving daily practicality

43.89 kWh larger battery: Local material claims up to 430 km, giving buyers useful theoretical range between charges.

30–80% fast charging in 30 minutes: This can shorten charging stops when a compatible DC charger is available.

Eight-year or 200,000 km battery and drivetrain warranty: This provides long-term coverage for expensive EV components.

தீமைகள்

Power output is unclear: Local material currently gives both 49.5 kW and 70 kW. Buyers should verify their exact vehicle.

2026 pricing remains unconfirmed: The Rs. 10 million figure relates to the 2025 Sri Lankan launch.

The 430 km range needs caution: Local material does not clearly identify the test cycle beside that estimate.

Independent crash testing produced three stars: The tested vehicle was LHD, and the rating does not extend to RHD versions.

Touchscreen-heavy controls may frustrate some owners: Published feedback reports software and interface usability complaints during everyday use.

Sri Lankan resale history remains limited: The Box only entered the local passenger-car market in 2025.

Based on published owner feedback and overseas road-test impressions, the Dongfeng Box is best suited to urban driving. Reviewers often describe its electric power delivery as linear and easy to manage in stop-start traffic, with compact dimensions helping its city-focused character. Feedback is less positive on faster roads, where overtaking performance and ride refinement can feel more limited. For Sri Lankan buyers, it appears better suited to regular Colombo commuting than frequent high-speed intercity travel.
