கண்ணோட்டம்

Are you looking for a compact crossover mainly for Colombo commuting and occasional family use? The 2026 Mazda CX-3 targets buyers who value tidy dimensions, conventional petrol power, and official local support. Mazda Lanka promotes it as a 2026 model, but the latest downloadable Sri Lankan specification is labelled 2025. Buyers should confirm the exact model year and equipment before ordering.

Its 4,275mm length suits urban driving. The 5.3-metre turning radius should help within narrow roads and car parks.

The six-speed automatic suits stop-start traffic. It removes clutch work during daily Colombo commuting.

Front, side, and curtain airbags are locally confirmed. This provides broader coverage than dual-front-airbag-only packages.

The warranty covers three years or 100,000km. Mazda Lanka also advertises five labour-free services.

The 1.5-litre engine avoids turbocharger hardware. This may reduce powertrain complexity for long-term ownership.

தீமைகள்

The boot holds only 230 litres. Larger shopping loads or airport luggage may require folding a rear seat.

Rear legroom is stated at 888mm. Regular adult passengers should test the rear seating position.

Ground clearance is limited to 155mm. Raised entrances and badly damaged roads will require care.

The local specification lists halogen headlamps. This appears basic above Rs. 14 million before VAT.

The 18-inch tyres may cost more to replace. Lower-profile tyres also provide less protection against sharp potholes.

A separate 2026 specification remains unavailable. Drive type, top speed, and official fuel economy are not confirmed.

4
out of 5

Based on owner feedback and regional road-test impressions, the Mazda CX-3 is generally described as an easy-to-manage urban crossover. Drivers often highlight its compact size, direct steering, and predictable six-speed automatic as useful in city traffic. Feedback also suggests that the ride can feel firm over rough roads, while rear-seat and luggage space remain limited. Overall, it suits Colombo commuting and small households better than buyers needing strong performance or family-sized practicality.

Exterior Design

Regional market feedback continues to identify the CX-3’s compact shape as a major attraction. Its 4,275mm body should also remain manageable in Colombo traffic. The rating recognises its styling without treating it as a new-generation design.
