கண்ணோட்டம்

Looking for a small EV for Colombo commuting, school runs and short daily travel? The Honda N-ONE e: is a four-seat Japanese kei hatchback built around urban use and home charging. Honda launched it in Japan in September 2025. Current Sri Lankan examples appear independently imported, while the model is absent from the authorised distributor’s published range. MotorGuide has not driven the car locally.

Honda N-ONE 2026

The body is only 3,395 mm long and 1,475 mm wide. Its minimum turning radius is 4.5 metres.

Honda quotes 295 km WLTC from one charge. This provides substantial range on paper for a kei-sized urban EV.

Honda quotes around 4.5 hours for normal charging. Fast charging takes about 30 minutes under Honda’s stated conditions.

The Japanese specification produces 162 Nm. Owner feedback frequently highlights immediate acceleration and easy low-speed response.

The rear seats provide two cargo arrangements. They can fold down or tip upward when extra load flexibility is needed.

தீமைகள்

The N-ONE e: has only four seats. Buyers needing regular five-person transport will need a larger vehicle.

Ground clearance is only 140 mm. Steep entrances, larger speed humps and badly broken roads deserve attention in Sri Lanka.

Official Sri Lankan N-ONE e: sales support could not be verified. EV-specific warranty and repairs may depend on the independent importer.

The 295 km figure comes from laboratory testing. Honda says weather, congestion, driving style and air-conditioning can significantly alter actual range.

Sri Lankan resale behaviour is not established. The N-ONE e: is too new locally for dependable long-term resale evidence.

4
out of 5

Based on owner feedback and early market impressions, the Honda N-ONE e: appears best suited to urban and short-distance driving. Japanese owners commonly highlight its immediate electric response, quiet operation and compact size, while some also note that ride comfort and energy use can vary depending on road conditions and climate-control use. Its small footprint and 4.5-metre turning radius should make it easier to manage in crowded city environments, although MotorGuide has not tested the car on Sri Lankan roads. Overall, it comes across as a practical city-focused EV rather than a long-distance all-rounder.

Exterior Design

Japanese user reviews respond positively to the familiar N-ONE shape and restrained EV styling. Some drivers find it conservative, but the compact dimensions remain relevant for narrow Sri Lankan streets and parking spaces.
