Sri Lankan Daily Use
The Sorento’s 4,815 mm length and 1,900 mm width will require care in narrow urban roads, older car parks and confined basement entrances. The surround-view camera, parking sensors and clear forward visibility should reduce that burden.
Its non-plug-in hybrid system suits Colombo stop-start traffic because it can use electric assistance at low speeds without depending on home or public charging. An overseas test returned approximately 14 km/l with strong air-conditioning use, but Sri Lankan consumption has not been independently verified.
The cabin includes ISOFIX provision, second- and third-row air-conditioning, seatback USB charging and one-touch third-row access. However, the number and location of the ISOFIX points require local confirmation. Carrying seven occupants leaves only 179 litres for luggage, so an outstation family journey will normally require at least one third-row seat to be folded. Local ground clearance and spare-wheel provision are not published.
