DMT Driving License Services Fully Restored Today

The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has announced that all driving license services have been fully restored as of today (December 3), following the rectification of the computer system failure caused by adverse weather conditions.
The Department confirmed that the computer network, which had suffered a breakdown due to the recent extreme weather, is now completely functional.
Accordingly, the public can now access all services—including the printing of driving licenses, new applications, and renewals—at the Werahera Head Office and all district offices island-wide, including both Online and Offline branches.
Special Arrangements Remain Valid
Although the system is back to normal, the Department emphasized that the special concessions previously announced for the convenience of the public remain in effect. These measures apply to individuals who were unable to obtain services during the days of the system breakdown.
This includes the grace period for those who missed appointments (time slots) and the rescheduled dates for missed written exams, as communicated in previous announcements.
