The full-time 4×4 system and body-on-frame construction suit buyers who regularly encounter damaged roads, loose surfaces or steep approaches. However, the Tank 500 remains a large vehicle. The 360-degree camera should help in Colombo, but buyers should test it in their normal parking space and on basement ramps before ordering.
Seven seats support family use, although comparable overseas vehicles leave little luggage space with every row occupied. The Sri Lankan vehicle’s ISOFIX positions, third-row top tethers, rear ventilation, USB provision, spare-wheel arrangement and exact cargo capacities are not published. These should be inspected using the actual vehicle, especially if child seats are required.
The HEV does not require external charging. Heavy traffic, short journeys, passenger loads and strong air-conditioning demand may nevertheless produce consumption well below the comparable overseas manufacturer claim.
