“Baby” Land Rover Defender EV to Be Released in 2027

According to media reports, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is reportedly creating a small Defender. Although it is referred to as a compact 4×4 SUV, no confirmation regarding it has been received to date. However, at a recent investor conference, Adrian Mardell, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), confirmed this development. Today, through MotorGuide's weekly news, we bring you information about the 'Baby' Land Rover Defender EV.
An executive at Jaguar-Land Rover stated at a recent investor conference that this small Land Rover Defender will be completely electric. The "Baby" Defender is built on JLR's Electric Modular Architecture (EMA) platform. This vehicle is therefore scheduled to be launched in 2027.
According to calculations based on the EMA platform, this "Baby" Defender will be approximately 15 feet long and 6.5 feet wide. In that sense, this vehicle will be slightly smaller in size than a BMW X3. So, just imagine what kind of feeling you would get driving a Defender that is smaller than a BMW.
