Fuel QR Code System Abolished as of 1 September 2023

The QR method implemented so far for issuing fuel from filling stations will be abolished from today (September 01), says Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera.
The Minister stated this at a press conference held today.
The National Fuel Pass, also known as the QR method, introduced by the Ministry of Energy with the aim of minimizing fuel queues, came into effect on August 01, 2022.
