The idea of an electric-powered Lotus was introduced to the world by the rarely seen Lotus Evija hypercar. Moving beyond that past, Lotus is set to produce a brand new car in 2024, which is the Lotus Emeya EV. Even before its production, today in MotorGuide weekly news, we are telling you about the Lotus Emeya EV, a four-door vehicle with an unusual name and different speed.

The Emeya is powered by a dialed-back version of the Lotus EV powertrain, producing an output of 603 hp and 524 lb-ft of torque.

The Emeya can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. This vehicle is equipped with a two-speed transmission connected to the e-motor. Additionally, its top speed is 155 km/h.

Lotus manufacturers state that when the Emeya's 800 V electrical architecture is connected to a 350 kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 15 minutes. The exterior includes an active front grill that opens when needed to cool the battery and brakes, along with active aerodynamic aids. Furthermore, the Emeya improves handling and stability.

At the rear of the car, there is an active dual-layer rear spoiler that produces an active diffuser, helping to increase aerodynamic efficiency. The Emeya is also equipped with 22-inch wheels.

It is reported that the Emeya's interior is designed with high-quality materials. A high-end KEF audio system with an integrated noise cancellation system is included in its interior. Additionally, slim OLED displays are provided for the driver and passenger. The driver can obtain essential key information through real-time road information, lane departure, forward collision alerts, blind-spot monitoring, and obstacle warnings.

By the end of 2023, more official information regarding the Emeya's price and specifications is expected. So, CarGuide is ready to update you with the latest details about the unusual Lotus Emeya EV.
