Motor Traffic Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe states that it is mandatory to book a date and time in advance to obtain services from any Department of Motor Traffic office located on the island starting from the 4th of this month.
He mentioned that an automated phone number and a website have been introduced for this purpose.
By calling the phone number 2 117 116 and selecting the desired service, you will then need to enter your phone number and ID card number. After entering it, a short message will be received on your phone number, and the Commissioner states that this message will include the date, time, and location for the relevant task. Additionally, this facility can also be obtained through the introduced website www.dmtappointments.dmt.gov.lk.
