Notice for Those Who Purchased Vehicles Recently

The Department of Motor Traffic has issued a special announcement to individuals who purchase and use vehicles without registering them in their own name.
This is to urge them to promptly register such vehicles, currently registered under other individuals' names, in their own names as soon as possible.
The Commissioner of Motor Traffic states that a fine will be imposed on vehicles that are re-registered after 14 days from the date of purchase, especially when sellers have already informed the Department of Motor Traffic about the sale of their vehicle.
In light of the ongoing pilot project where police use CCTV cameras to monitor traffic violations and send penalty notices to vehicle owners, both current and previous owners of vehicles not registered in their own names could face inconvenience.
For this reason, the Department of Motor Traffic is informing the public to register the vehicles they have purchased in their own names.
