The police say that preliminary discussions have now begun regarding presenting and examining drivers involved in fatal road accidents before a doctor.
Specifically, the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (Traffic) has initiated these preliminary discussions to take necessary measures to present the driver involved in a road accident to a doctor and ascertain whether they were driving under the influence of toxic drugs.
The police state that as of July 10th, 1,135 fatal road accidents have occurred, resulting in 1,202 deaths.
Additionally, the police further state that there have been 2,088 serious injury accidents and 4,450 minor injury accidents.
