Vehicle Revenue Licences: New Government Directive

Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation, Vijitha Herath, has drawn attention to an issue causing inconvenience to the public when obtaining vehicle revenue licenses.

Accordingly, Minister Vijitha Herath has instructed to connect the Western Province with other provinces when obtaining vehicle revenue licenses.

The Ministry states that the above step was taken after considering complaints received from the public, stating that it is a very difficult task, consuming time, effort, and money, for a resident of the Western Province to obtain a revenue license from another province if their vehicle is registered there.

This step has been taken as a solution to the problem faced by the public due to the lack of inter-provincial connectivity when obtaining vehicle revenue licenses.

Therefore, Minister Vijitha Herath has instructed the Governor of the Western Province to connect the Western Province with other provinces as soon as possible.
