Overview

Are you seeking a compact petrol sedan for Colombo traffic and family duties? The 2025 Honda Amaze offers a 1.2-litre engine, manual or CVT choices, and a 416-litre boot. It targets buyers wanting a conventional petrol sedan with a separate luggage compartment. However, Sri Lankan agent pricing, local trims, and warranty coverage remain unconfirmed for this third-generation model.

Pros

The car measures 3,995 mm long. This gives it a smaller parking footprint than longer family sedans.

The turning radius is 4.7 metres on V variants. VX and ZX versions require 4.9 metres.

The boot provides 416 litres. Families may carry luggage without folding the rear seats.

Six airbags are standard across three variants. Buyers do not need the ZX solely for basic airbag coverage.

The CVT claims 19.46 km/l. This exceeds the manual’s official 18.65 km/l figure.

Cons

Peak torque is 110 Nm at 4,800 rpm. Full-load overtaking and hill-country driving will require planning.

Honda Sensing is restricted to the ZX. V and VX imports lack the main driver-assistance package.

The fuel tank holds only 35 litres. Regular long-distance users may require more frequent fuel stops.

CVT response may feel delayed under stronger acceleration. One 2025 owner specifically noted this behaviour.

Local price and warranty coverage remain unconfirmed. Support may differ between agent-backed and independently imported vehicles.

Driver Insights

4
out of 5

Based on regional owner feedback and early market impressions, the Honda Amaze 2025 is best suited to calm city driving and daily family use. Owners often describe the CVT as convenient in traffic, while the compact size makes parking and narrow-road driving easier. The 1.2-litre engine is considered adequate rather than quick, especially with passengers or luggage. Its practical boot, manageable dimensions, and straightforward petrol powertrain make it a sensible compact sedan for Colombo and suburban use.

Exterior Design

Regional owner feedback praises the Amaze’s overall design and proportions. Its 3,995 mm length should also help within tighter Colombo parking spaces.
