Special decision on vehicle revenue licenses
Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Vijitha Herath has drawn attention to the issue of inconvenience faced by the public in obtaining vehicle revenue licenses.
Accordingly, Minister Vijitha Herath has instructed the Western Province to connect with other provinces in obtaining vehicle revenue licenses.
The Ministry states that the above step was taken after considering complaints received from the public that obtaining a revenue license from a Western Province resident's vehicle registered in another province is a very difficult task that costs time, effort and money.
This step has been taken as a solution to the problem faced by the public due to the lack of inter-provincial connectivity in obtaining vehicle revenue licenses.
Therefore, Minister Vijitha Herath has instructed the Governor of the Western Province to connect the Western Province with other provinces as soon as possible.
