Department of Motor Traffic Introduces WhatsApp Service
The Department of Motor Traffic has introduced a WhatsApp number to quickly receive public written complaints. Accordingly, appeals or complaints to be submitted to the Commissioner General of the Department of Motor Traffic or to the Department can be sent in writing to the WhatsApp number 071 40 33 300.
Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe, states that several provisions have already been made to take necessary steps promptly for complaints submitted in writing by the public to this number.
He further added that another opportunity has been provided for clients to connect with the Department of Motor Traffic through the TELL DMT Facebook page.
The Department states that through this service, it works to efficiently handle and resolve public complaints and appeals, and expects to make services even more convenient and effective through this new technological step.
