Sri Lanka's First Home-Grown Electric Family Car: MOKSHA

We all use vehicles imported into Sri Lanka from abroad. The reason for this is that there is still no Sri Lankan-manufactured vehicle in the Sri Lankan market. However, you can buy a fully electric car manufactured in Sri Lanka in November 2023. So today, MotorGuide in our Weekly News is telling you about that.
This fully electric car named "Moksha" has been designed by Ideal Motors. It is classified as a four-wheeled, compact electric vehicle. It also has the capacity to seat four people. The Moksha vehicle has been designed as a four-door, hatchback, right-hand drive vehicle.
The overall length of this vehicle is 2850 mm and the overall width is 1400 mm. Its overall height can be stated as 1550 mm and the wheelbase as 1980 mm. The most special thing is that with a ground clearance of 220 mm, it perfectly matches Sri Lankan roads. This 'Ideal Moksha' electric car is a fully air-conditioned vehicle with alloy wheels. Additionally, it features a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as an informative system for passengers.
Regarding the battery of the Moksha car, it has a 22.46 kWh lithium battery. Charging it overnight with a 15-amp household charger provides a range of up to 200 kilometers. Ideal Motors is set to unveil Sri Lanka's first electric car, 'Moksha,' in November 2023. The vehicle is currently estimated to be sold for 4.5 million rupees.
What kind of feeling will it be like to drive our own car manufactured in our own country? The most significant thing is that inquiries for exporting this vehicle have already been received from Africa. Therefore, it is reported that plans are being made to export "Moksha" starting from the end of 2024.
