Honda Accord Cars Recall

When driving a vehicle on the road, it must ensure the safety of both the occupants of the vehicle and others on the road. Especially in a crash, seat belts are very important for the safety of both occupants in the driver cabin. That's why over 300,000 Honda Accord Sedans and HR-V SUVs have been recalled for a seat belt issue. That's what we're telling you about in today's MotorGuide Weekly News.
This issue is related to the seat belt pretensioner. A pretensioner is a device used to minimize damage during a crash. In both the Honda Accord and HR-V, the pretensioner is attached to a connector and a wire plate. In some cases, a rivet on both the connector and the wire plate may have become detached. In such an event, if an accident occurs, the seat belt will not protect the occupants of the vehicle.
The special aspect here is that Honda dealers will replace the pretensioner for free instead of the seat belt. Since these are agreements for 2023 and 2024 models and HR-Vs, previous repairs should also be covered under the vehicle's warranty. Most importantly, Honda will reimburse the cost incurred for repairs related to replacing a defective buckle.
With all of this, it is reported that all owners will be notified about the recall in January 2024.
This is the story of the recall of over 300,000 Honda Accord Sedans and HR-V SUVs for a seat belt issue. MotorGuide is ready to tell you about important vehicle-related updates and the latest changes you should know about in the future.
