To legally drive a vehicle on the road, a valid driving license is absolutely essential. This is because driving without a valid driving license is a punishable offense. Also, to obtain a driving license, one must be at least 17 years old. Looking at it this way, only individuals over 17 years old can legally drive a vehicle in Sri Lanka.

However, a vehicle has now been created that 14-year-old children can drive without a driving license. Today, we are telling you about it through MotorGuide Weekly news.

This car is known as the Microlino Lite bubble car. This car can be used by anyone aged 14 and above without a driving license. The car was first unveiled at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show.

The Geneva Motor Show 2024 ran from February 26 to March 3.

The Microlino Lite is a smaller version of the Microlino microcar, offering a similar range to the microcar. This smaller version is capable of reaching a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour.

This small vehicle is made from high-strength steel. The driver can enter the Microlino Lite bubble car by opening the entire front section, which serves as the door. It has two seats, a compact steering wheel, and adequate driver & passenger's space.

In short, two people, including the driver, can easily travel in this car.

The exterior of the Microlino Lite electric bubble car is made from steel and aluminum, commonly used in the automotive industry. We can also see a rollable sunroof on this car. Furthermore, it has a 230-liter package space.

The Microlino Lite can be driven by individuals aged 14 or older and those without a driving license. However, Micro company states that this applies based on the national regulations of the country where the electric bubble car is to be driven.

Accordingly, currently, only France and Italy have allowed 14-year-old drivers to drive the Microlino Lite electric bubble car. Permission to drive this car starts at age 15 in Germany, Spain, Sweden, and Austria, and at age 16 in Belgium, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Norway.

Not only that, but in many other countries, an AM driving license is required to drive the Microlino Lite car. However, France does not require it if the driver was born before January 1, 1988. So, this is the story of the Microlino Lite car that can be driven without a license.
