Next-Gen Mini Cooper Hardtop Five-Door Variant Released

Mini Cooper shows signs of becoming a fully electric brand
Mini Cooper is working to create a 48-volt mild-hybrid variant
International media reports that Mini Cooper, like many other automakers, has a plan to become a fully electric brand one day. Although this change didn't happen overnight, it appears that Mini Cooper's manufacturing company is following a good lineup. The best example of this is the Mini Cooper Hardtop five-door variant. Moreover, electrification can also be seen in this new variant.
Paparazzi photos suggest that the new five-door version has taken inspiration from the three-door version. With the new grille shape, large round LED headlights, and other visual upgrades, it appears that the Mini Cooper Hardtop five-door variant is largely similar to the Mini Cooper Hardtop three-door variant.
However, the Mini Cooper Hardtop five-door variant is about six to eight inches longer than the three-door version. This increased space will be very useful for backseat passengers and as cargo space.
The Mini Cooper Hardtop five-door variant we are discussing today could include the 184-horsepower Cooper E trim and the more powerful 218-hp Cooper SE. It can also cover a range of 124 to 136 miles and 248 miles respectively with 40.7- and 54.2-kilowatt-hour batteries. Although there were rumors that Mini Cooper is working to create a 48-volt mild-hybrid variant, details on that are not available.
In addition to the new Cooper Hardtop, Mini is also developing the next-generation Countryman, which is reported to include a John Cooper Works version.
