Aston Martin Lagonda Will Stop Production Completely

When we talk about Luxury Vehicles, Aston Martin is one of the top names that comes to mind. So, Lagonda is a Luxury Vehicle released by the Aston Martin company. Lagonda is a British luxury car brand. This car brand was founded in 1906. By 1947, the Lagonda brand name became part of the Aston Martin company.
However, unfortunately, Aston Martin has decided to completely discontinue the 118-year-old Lagonda luxury car brand. Today, in MotorGuide weekly news, we are telling you about it.
It is reported that Aston Martin will completely stop producing Lagonda as the company focuses on sports cars. Currently, an average Aston Martin car costs around £213,000. The reason for this is the production of vehicles with high levels of personalization. However, the company's senior officials state that there are no plans to launch a dedicated luxury brand for the company.
However, Aston Martin had planned to produce luxury cars under its former CEO, Andy Palmer. In particular, he was planning to revive Lagonda as a rival to Bentley. Also, in 2018 and 2019, Lagonda was planned to design a super-saloon and an SUV as concept cars.
After Palmer's departure in 2020, no details regarding the Lagonda project were reported. However, authorities further stated that it has been suspended to invest in Aston Martin's existing sports cars, the launch of the DBX SUV, and the development of the Valkyrie hypercar.
Following this incident, Aston Martin's current chairman, Lawrence Stroll, stated that he has no ambition to take Aston Martin into the luxury market. This is how the 118-year-old Lagonda luxury car brand is being completely discontinued.
