A vehicle is something that is at the top of our dream list. So, many people work day and night to make their vehicle dream a reality. However, buying an actual vehicle is not an easy task. So, most of the time, we have to buy a vehicle either by taking out a leasing arrangement or by taking a loan. When talking about leasing, another option we cannot forget is the Speed Draft Leasing method. So today, through MotorGuide, we are telling you which is better between Speed Draft and the Leasing method.

What is Vehicle Leasing?

Vehicle leasing is a rental agreement. This means you are renting a vehicle. In short, the idea here is that you are renting a vehicle for a certain period. So, when you get a vehicle through leasing, you sign a rental agreement. You only get full ownership of the vehicle after all the leasing installments for the vehicle have been paid off.

What is Speed Draft?

Speed draft is a completely different leasing method compared to the normal leasing method. However, it's a regular loan amount. This leasing method has both advantages and some disadvantages. Accordingly, whether a speed draft lease is good or bad depends on the situation.

A Relative Answer

Is it better to buy a vehicle with a Speed Draft or to lease a vehicle? Actually, there is no single correct answer to this question. This is because whether it is better to lease or get a Speed Draft depends on the individual concerned. Various factors such as the occupation of the person intending to buy the vehicle and their credit rate influence this answer. So, before making a hasty decision, don't forget to think carefully about this.

Think About the Down Payment

If you are looking to buy a car, a jeep, or a dual-purpose vehicle, you can only finance about 50% through a lease. This means you can only get about half of the vehicle's value as a lease. However, if you are buying a motorcycle or a single cab, you can obtain a leasing facility of up to 70% of the vehicle's value. But for commercial vehicles like lorries and electric vehicles, it is possible to obtain leasing facilities up to 90%.

So, if you are buying a regular car through a leasing facility, you will have to pay 50% of the vehicle's value out of pocket. In short, you will have to make a 50% down payment of the vehicle's value to the leasing company.

If you don't have that much money, a lease won't be suitable for you. In such a situation, you will have to opt for a speed draft facility.

Disadvantages of the Speed Draft Method

If you lease a vehicle using the Speed Draft method, the company will charge you a monthly interest on the loan installment they provide. Here, you only need to pay that interest. However, not a single cent will be reduced from your loan amount. If you pay an additional amount to the leasing company, in addition to the monthly interest, then that amount will be deducted from the loan. If you only pay interest every month without paying extra, you will end up paying interest every month because your loan amount remains the same.

Advantage of the Speed Draft Leasing Method

If you take a normal lease, it's fixed. However, with Speed Draft, they only charge monthly interest. Let's say you do with Speed Draft what you intended to do with a normal lease, as we mentioned before. That means, suppose you take a lease using the Speed Draft method and try to pay it off in about a week. In that case, the leasing company will only charge the monthly interest and the loan amount. This is the advantage of the Speed Draft leasing method.

Who is the Speed Draft Method Suitable For?

The Speed Draft leasing method is best suited for individuals who frequently have cash in hand. Because then they can pay off the entire lease at once and close it. This financial facility can be obtained much faster and easier than getting a normal leasing facility. It is also very easy to understand.

If you are buying a vehicle for business purposes, or if you have cash in hand, the Speed Draft leasing method is what suits you. However, if you are buying the vehicle for home use, or if you feel it will be difficult to pay off, then opting for a Speed Draft is not a wise idea.

So, these are the things you need to consider before deciding whether to buy a vehicle with a Speed Draft or through leasing. Now you understand that buying a vehicle is not an easy task either, right?
