Learn Exactly How to Defog Quickly

What is Fog?
Simply, we call fog, mist. Water vapor is something that exists almost everywhere in the environment. This water vapor turns into heat and then into liquid. This process of water turning into liquid is what is called fog. Water vapor deposits as liquid on cold surfaces. Vehicle windows are cold surfaces. So, after water vapor settles on the glass, we can see fog on the windows.
Situations when fog builds up on vehicle windows
There are two situations when fog builds up on windows.
First situation - Fog forming on the inside of the vehicle windows. This happens when the internal temperature of the vehicle is low, and the external temperature is high.
Second situation - Fog forming on the outside of the vehicle windows. This happens when the internal temperature of the vehicle is high, and the external temperature is low.
How does fog form?
When the atmospheric temperature decreases, water vapor turns into heat. Then the temperature inside the vehicle increases. That's when water vapor starts appearing as mist to our eyes. Accordingly, fog forms when water vapor flows from a warmer place to a cooler place.
How to stop fog from forming?
We cannot stop fog from forming in a vehicle. All we can do is remove the fog that has already formed on the vehicle windows.
How to remove formed fog?
If fog has formed on the inside of your vehicle's windows, the first thing you should do is turn on the AC. This is because the AC can remove a significant amount of fog from the windows. If we cannot adequately remove the fog with the AC, we then need to direct hot air, which has had water vapor removed, towards the windows. Otherwise, we need to slightly increase the vehicle's temperature. In addition to these, the defogger in the vehicle can also remove fog. After these actions, the fog on the vehicle windows will begin to evaporate. This is how fog on the inside of the windows is cleared.
We can wipe off the fog on the outside of the windows with the wiper. However, the fog will return to the windows in a short while. Therefore, we need to send hot air to hit the windows. This way, the fog on the outside of the windows can be cleared. In addition to these, if possible, slightly lower the window as well.
