Are you a vehicle owner? Are you someone who saves money? Even if you want to save money, many vehicle owners answer this question by saying, "How can we save when there's vehicle maintenance?" Aren't you tired of spending money on vehicle maintenance? That's why MotorGuide is sharing some vehicle money-saving secrets with you today.

How to save oil and save money?

Use the vehicle's accelerator pedal correctly

We can save fuel by using the vehicle's accelerator pedal. You can save fuel by pressing the accelerator pedal gently instead of pressing it hard. Also, by doing this, you can drive the vehicle more efficiently. So, when driving a vehicle, keep the RPM value consistent.

Keep tires inflated to the correct pressure

To travel in a vehicle, tires must be inflated. Tires that are not adequately inflated experience increased rolling resistance on the road. As resistance increases, fuel consumption also increases. For example, if the air in all vehicle tires is reduced by 10 psi, fuel efficiency decreases by up to 10%. Therefore, to save vehicle fuel, always keep the tires inflated to the correct pressure.

Reduce the weight in the vehicle's trunk

Many people have a habit of driving with all necessary and unnecessary items in the vehicle's trunk. You should think twice about this. Because when a vehicle is unnecessarily overloaded, it consumes more fuel. Fuel consumption increases by 2% for every 50 kg increase in vehicle weight. Therefore, try to drive the vehicle with only essential spare parts in the trunk.

Turn on the AC when necessary

Are you driving the vehicle with the windows down? This is also a major reason for increased fuel consumption. Because driving with windows down at speeds over 80 km/h creates wind resistance. It also incurs higher fuel costs for the vehicle. Therefore, if you are driving faster than 80 km/h, drive with the vehicle windows closed and the AC on. Then you will be able to reduce fuel consumption. Also, if you are driving the vehicle at a speed of about 30 km/h with the AC off, you can drive with the windows down.

Do not leave the vehicle running for a long time

If you are waiting for someone, like a family member or a friend, with the vehicle running, stop doing that today. If the vehicle is not moving, turn off the engine within one minute. Fuel is consumed when the engine is running without the vehicle moving.

Service the engine when necessary

The engine should be serviced when necessary. Especially, engine oil and air filters should be changed. This helps maintain the engine's fuel efficiency.

How to protect your vehicle and save money?

Don't go into neutral

A big mistake drivers make is putting the vehicle in neutral to save fuel. Never do this. Because then the engine will not assist the four wheels in rotating. Doing this significantly increases the risk of accidents. Therefore, to prevent vehicle accidents and save money, do not drive in neutral.

So, you too can protect your vehicle, save oil, and save money this way. Therefore, you should definitely try these things. Then you will be able to keep your vehicle in good condition and save money.
