Is Ordinary Air Good for Tires?

The ordinary air we usually put into tires contains gases like nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and water vapor. Filling tires with this ordinary air, which contains water vapor and oxygen, can affect the rim. After filling tires with ordinary air, the oxygen gas in it gradually escapes. However, when exposed to sunlight, the oxygen in the air escapes quickly. Therefore, filling tires with ordinary air does not yield as successful results as filling them with nitrogen gas.

What are the Benefits of Nitrogen-Filled Tires?

Filling tires with nitrogen gas can provide more benefits than filling them with ordinary air.

Points to Consider When Filling with Nitrogen

There are a few things you need to consider before filling your vehicle's tires with nitrogen. If there is ordinary air inside the tire, it is not advisable to fill it with nitrogen gas directly. The ordinary air must be completely removed before filling with nitrogen gas. Also, you should be careful to fill your vehicle's tires only with the required amount of nitrogen gas.
